I am the Early Literacy Librarian at the Kenosha Public Library in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with my Master's in Library and Information Science in December 2016. I have previously worked as a Youth Services Librarian at the Grayslake Area Public Library in Lake County, Illinois, and at the Community Library in Kenosha County, Wisconsin. In 2014, I received my Bachelor of the Arts degree in journalism from Marquette University, where I proudly served as the Editor-in-Chief of The Marquette Tribune my senior year.
I was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, but have had many incredible opportunities to experience other parts of the world. I studied abroad in Paris, France during my time as an undergraduate student, and have also traveled throughout the United States, Ireland, Spain, Mexico, Indonesia, the Bahamas and my personal favorite (so far), Morocco. In my spare time I enjoy reading; writing; hiking; traveling; staring at/petting/cuddling/taking pictures of my cats, Mushroom and Pongo; antique shopping; restoring furniture; practicing yoga; cooking; sharing love and laughter with family and friends; experiencing nature, tattoos; photography; film; originality; good humor; great music and tea of any kind. I also, of course, cannot pass up a good book. Disclaimer: The views expressed here are mine alone and do not reflect those of my employer. |
